I had met some guy while he was building furniture for his business, we talked about stories related to his business,  he was building a desk for the secretary that would hide the computer screen and papers from eyes of buyers. I asked him to tell me why… and tell me a story.

he told me that people can’t stand to know that you winning on them a lot. those prospect buyers who will know the cost may go away and not buy or may delay the purchase decision or try to negotiate with you.

another video I saw today. it said goods tend to cost the price it costs to make them. not the relative amount of value it brings to people’s life

also, it said, people want to buy highest cost items. that is is because of an old long-term memory  from before the industrial revolution that people felt a correlation of high price means good. this knowlage is incorrect for today but people still use it.
